After being nominated as one of the strong finalists in the category "Commercialized Innovation of the Year", earHero earphones went on to win the prestigious title in the Seventh Idaho Innovation Awards which was held at the Boise Center at the Grove on October 2, 2012.
The Idaho Innovation Awards is the state's first and only innovations award program and being named a finalist and/or a winner in any category serves as a testament of a company's significant contribution to the development of the state's growing technology sector. As such, having your product and/or your company named as a finalist for such an award also serves as an unbiased endorsement by the business leaders in the community. Needless to say, winning this prestigious award is considered to be one of earHero's greatest achievements so far.
Competing against earHero for this year's "Commercialized Innovation of the Year" award were Recall Info Link, an online application designed to manage product recalls and The Zona Plus, an isometric therapy device designed to improve cardiovascular fitness.
The nominations were judged by a 30-member Selection Committee representing Idaho's esteemed business, technology and academic sectors and the votes were tallied by accountants at Cooper Norman. Stoel Rives LLP, Kickstand and Idaho Technology Council (ITC) co-presented the awards for this year's Idaho Innovation Awards.
